Overview
The 10 Heavenly Stems are the foundation of learning Bazi. Initially, it may be daunting or puzzling, but you will eventually come to fully understand the concept. It is based on the five elements as the fundamental building blocks.
This is necessary to comprehend our Bazi, which is derived from our birth time and date. As you will learn in subsequent articles, Bazi is also constantly changing based on an understandable essential core.
For instance, in ancient times, if a person prospered in the Fire Industry, it indicated that he or she likely worked as a chef and dealt with fire-related elements. In modern times, the Fire Industries can also be an IT programmer in the IT industry, and not always a chef in a restaurant. The development of one’s perception of Bazi is also important. Despite the passage of time, the importance still exists, whether or not we recognize it. Obviously, you will need your own Feng Shui or Bazi consultant to ensure that you are in the suitable industry.
Heavenly Stems
Heaven’s Qi makes up the Heavenly Stems. These are the Good, Bad, and Ugly aspects of your life. They can provide instantaneous wealth. In addition, they are capable of destroying your entire existence. They are the occurrences, outcomes, successes, and failures of your life. They display your life to the world and inform others when the time is right. They differ from the Branches in that they do not care about your feelings. They cannot be concealed, but may be managed by understanding our strengths and weaknesses.
Meaning
The Stems represent a person’s outward life impressions. They are what the individual wishes others to perceive, including his personality, perspective, issues, and relationships. Alternately, you could allude to what “Heaven” grants a person. And it appears real to the outside world. Comparable to packaging in that what people see on the surface provides a glimpse of what’s within. The truth is that what appears on the outside (appearance) may not necessarily reflect what exists on the inside (the real you). Stems are used to define appearance and surface qualities. In addition, it can signify available opportunities.
A man may appear wealthy or diligent, but is this the case? For example, if a wealth element is present on the Stem but is not rooted (i.e., there is no wealth element in the Branches) or is not supported by an output element, he may appear affluent when in fact he is not. In the best-case scenario, he will have financial opportunities, but whether he would seize them is uncertain.
