You can check your documents for spelling and grammar mistakes with Google Docs’ built-in tool. However, Google has just released a more sophisticated AI-based tool that will make your documents easier to read. Introduced on Tuesday, Proofread analyzes your documents for style, tone, and readability before making correction recommendations.
Unfortunately, not all Google Workspace customers or even regular Google Docs users have access to Proofread. At the moment, the app is only available to Google Workspace Enterprise users as an add-on for the Duet AI service.
A Google representative told ZDNET via email that while the company couldn’t go into detail, “[Google] will be releasing additional offerings over the coming months for other customer segments, including small and medium-sized businesses and consumers.”
Now is a good time to see if Proofread can improve the quality of your documents if your company or organization uses Duet AI.
